permanent makeup aftercare
PREPARING THE SKIN:

Preparing your skin for permanent makeup involves a few key steps to ensure the best results and minimize complications:

1. Consultation: schedule a consultation to discuss your goals and understand the procedure.
2. Avoid sun exposure: reduce sun exposure and avoid tanning beds for at least two weeks before your appointment to minimize skin sensitivity.

3. Do not exfoliate: refrain from using exfoliating products or undergoing chemical peels in the area that the service will be done on for at least one week prior.

4. Hydrate and moisturize: keep your skin well-hydrated and moisturized leading up to the procedure to ensure it is in good condition.

5. Avoid blood thinners: steer clear of blood thinners, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements (like fish oil) for a week before the procedure as they can increase bleeding.

6. Avoid alcohol and caffeine: avoid these for 24 hours before the procedure to reduce the risk of excessive bleeding and sensitivity.

7. Consult medical history: Inform your technician of any medical conditions, medications, or allergies.

8. Consent form: be sure to read over and fill out your consent form prior to your appointment.
AFTERCARE:

Aftercare for permanent makeup is essential for ensuring optimal healing and achieving the best results. Here is a detailed guideline to ensure the best results possible:

1. Keep them clean.

2. Avoid water exposure: for the first week, keep your brows and eyes dry. Avoid swimming, saunas, and excessive sweating.

3. Apply healing ointment (applicable for lip blush only).

4. Avoid makeup and skincare products: do not apply any makeup or skincare products on the treated area until fully healed. This includes concealers, eyebrow pencils, and creams.

5. No scratching or picking: avoid touching, scratching or picking at the area. Let any scabs or flakes fall off naturally to avoid disrupting the healing process.

6. Avoid sun exposure: Keep your area out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds. Once healed, use sunscreen to protect area from UV damage.

7. Sleep position: try to sleep on your back to avoid contact with the treated area. Using a clean pillowcase can also help.
